Garden Work Party
We’re inviting everyone who wants to participate in gardening, learn about horticulture, or support our mutual aid ecosystem to join us at the garden every Saturday at noon. We begin with a brief check-in on priority tasks for the day and a grounding exercise together, then get our hands dirty.
The garden is open to everyone to hang out in at any time, but we ask that folks join at least one of these Saturday work parties to get oriented before working on the garden independently.
Bring work clothes, your own gardening tools if you have ‘em, and whatever you might want to share.
Tool Library Circulation Day
manyworld has collected a catalog of hand tools and power tools to support community members who wish to repair and care for their homes, gardens, bikes and cars without the high cost of ownership, maintenance, or storage space.
We are open on Saturdays from 2-4pm at manyworld for checking out and returning items. Come to circulation days to apply for a library account so you can reserve tools using our online circulation website.
Take a look at our growing catalog here, and learn more about the project on our tool library page.

Intro to Tracking
In getting to know the land, a great tool is to learn about it from other animals, whose lives depend on knowing everything they can about it. The good news is, they write their findings all over the landscape! That writing is their track and sign, and we can learn to read them like our own writing. This skillshare will introduce you to some easy first steps in tracking.
$5-10 suggested donation.
Masks required at this event.

Intro to Permaculture
Permaculture is an ancient way of living, with a new name. It is based in ethics and principles, rather than in specific interventions. If you encounter a new situation, you can craft ways to work within permaculture in a healthy way, instead of being limited by a set toolbox. It can be used in agricultural and ecological systems, as well as social and economic systems and others. Come learn this framework and how you can apply it to your garden and other ways you grow.

Rad Pride!
Come to Rad Pride June 21st at manyworld from 6:30-9:30pm!
We have some low-key, chill events planned for the Summer Solstice evening:

🪕 Music circle in the garden. Let's play and sing songs together! We'll have some instruments to use, or feel free to bring your own.
🎨 Collective art and crafting. We'll have tons of supplies for making arts and crafts with friends!
📸 Ha(u)te speech photo booth. Come dressed up in your best pride outfits and take photos with ironically affirming hate speech signs like the ones silly little bigots always bring to other pride events while looking fabulous! We'll have a variety of signs with slogans to the tune of "The gay agenda will destroy the status quo" and fun accessories for your look.
🥊 8:30pm Self-defense workshop. With attacks on trans and gender nonconforming folks ever increasing, come learn some skills to bash back! We keep each other safe.
🕯 Solstice candle lighting ritual. We'll end the night with some magic!
Light snacks and refreshments will also be available. Masks recommended. We'll be outside, so don't forget sunscreen, hotties! Thank you to Mid Willamette Trans Support Network for sponsoring!

Skillshare: Managing Anxiety
Are you feeling overwhelmed by, well, (* gestures vaguely *) all of this? Of course, that's only natural. However, if that anxiety is making it hard to get through your day, come learn some skills for how to respond to anxiety with self-compassion and thoughtfulness. Participants should walk away with concrete tools for managing anxiety within their thoughts, feelings, and body without dismissing the reality of an increasingly-concerning world.
Let's Talk Waste!
Do you have intense feelings about wastefulness and trash in our community? Do you wish fewer things went to the landfill or more things could be saved from the bin in the first place? Let’s talk about it!
This will be a conversational meeting to share ideas and opportunities for repair, maintenance, upcycling, preservation, reduction, and reuse. Bring your everyday practices, your big ideas, and your community organizing pitch.
